Download CSV
The default filename combines the Kitable document title and the active table title.
- Open the
.kitableand select the table you want to export - Open the table item menu in the workspace top bar
- Choose Download CSV
- Choose a save location in the desktop save dialog
The action exports the table, not a view projection
The client calls the active table’s CSV export endpoint with the document ID and table ID. It does not send the active view ID, filters, sorts, groups, hidden fields, or selected records.
Do not describe this action as “export exactly what you see.” If you need a filtered subset, verify the downloaded file and perform the projection in a spreadsheet or data tool.
Heads up
CSV does not preserve Kition view configuration, field-type metadata, formulas, relation configuration, AI configuration, dashboards, or workflows as a reconstructable Kitable backup.
No public JSON, Parquet, or CLI export in 0.1.41
The verified table menu exposes Download CSV. It does not expose JSON or Parquet export, and the public desktop repository does not provide the old kition table export CLI workflow.
Use the downloaded CSV for spreadsheet analysis or an interchange snapshot. Keep a proper workspace backup when you need Kition-native structure and configuration.
Verify sensitive and structured values
- Open the CSV and confirm the expected records and columns are present
- Inspect attachments, document paths, user values, and linked-record values before treating the file as portable
- Remove sensitive columns before sharing the CSV outside the workspace
- Record the export date if the file will be used as an audit snapshot
