Five view types

  • Grid — spreadsheet-style records and bulk editing
  • Gallery — cards with an attachment, URL, or text cover field
  • Kanban — cards grouped horizontally by a supported group field
  • Calendar — records positioned using a date or datetime field
  • Form — a record-creation form built from the table fields

Note

List is not a view type in Kition 0.1.41.

Create and switch

Creating a view supplies a new title and type. It does not promise to inherit the current view’s filter or sort configuration.

  • Choose the plus button beside the view tabs
  • Select Grid, Gallery, Kanban, Calendar, or Form
  • Choose a view tab to switch the active presentation
  • Configure filters, sorts, groups, hidden fields, row height, frozen columns, or a gallery cover as applicable

Manage views

Open the active view’s menu to rename, duplicate, or delete it. Duplicating a view copies its saved configuration. A table must keep at least one view, so Delete is disabled for the last remaining view.

The verified menu does not include Set as default, and the view tabs do not expose the old long-press reorder interaction.

View-specific behavior

Kanban drag updates the grouped field only when that field is editable and groupable. Calendar requires a date-like field. Gallery can choose a cover field. Form is for creating a record; it is not a public form-sharing guarantee.

Views change how the same records are presented. Deleting a view does not delete the table records.

Documents can link, not embed live views

Kition 0.1.41 does not render a live Kitable view through ![[Tables/...]] or query-string embed syntax. Link to the .kitable workspace item and open it to use its views.
