Change a setting and verify its effect
Choose the setting by what it controls. A provider configuration is different from the project content you want to send, and a saved email account is different from a running inbox workflow. Use the version boundary below when comparing these instructions with your installation.
- Open Settings and identify the relevant category.
- Review the account, path, or provider affected by the change.
- Change one value and use the available save or test control.
- Follow any explicit restart instruction shown for that setting.
- Return to the relevant work surface and verify the intended behavior.
| Kind | Example |
|---|---|
| Device preference | Appearance or application behavior |
| Service connection | AI provider or email account |
| Project content | Document, table, board, or design in the workspace |
| Execution configuration | A workflow’s input, action, and schedule |

Heads up
Provider and proxy secrets are stored in plaintext .secret files under the local application data directory in 0.1.41. They are not protected by the operating-system Keychain.
Network
Network configures the Desktop proxy. Supported proxy types are HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5, and SOCKS5H. The form accepts host, port, optional username and password, and bypass rules, and provides proxy testing plus the restart flow needed to apply changes.
The proxy password uses the same local plaintext secret store as provider credentials. Protect the application data directory and revoke or rotate remote credentials if the device is lost or transferred.
Advanced and About
Use Support diagnostics before sharing raw logs. The copied diagnostic summary is redacted; raw logs still require inspection and redaction.
- Data — displays the resolved local data, cache, logs, and exports paths and can open them in the operating system
- Developer — includes Debug mode; enabled debug logging can contain model request and Agent turn details
- About — displays version, commit, and build time and provides updates, Support diagnostics, feedback, privacy, terms, GitHub, and license links

Privacy and telemetry
Privacy and telemetry describe where workspace data goes and which optional usage events are collected. Local storage does not mean every connected feature operates without network requests.
Keybindings
Keybindings are keyboard shortcuts interpreted by the active application, workspace, or document surface. The focused surface determines which action a key combination performs.
Log and configuration locations
Find the active data, cache, log, export, workspace, and configuration locations from the running Desktop app.
