Clear the current turn

  • If generation is still active, use Stop or Cancel and wait for it to settle before retrying
  • Retry with a short text-only prompt in the same workspace
  • If only one conversation fails, start a new Agent conversation to isolate stale turn state

Verify the model source

For an external provider, open Settings → AI Providers. The provider must be enabled, its remote credentials and endpoint must work, its model list must be synchronized, and the selected model must remain usable.

For Kition Cloud, open Settings → Account and confirm that the account session is valid and hosted credits are available. A signed-out, expired, blocked, or zero-credit account cannot start a hosted generation.

Check runtime and network state

  • Restart Kition to restart the embedded runtime
  • Confirm normal HTTPS access to the selected provider or Kition Cloud
  • If a proxy is configured, use Settings → Network to test it and apply any required restart
  • Try a different synchronized model from the same provider to separate a model availability issue from a provider issue

Collect evidence

Open Settings → About and copy Support diagnostics. The diagnostic summary is designed to omit documents, prompts, paths, keys, tokens, and raw logs.

If support asks for logs, open their directory through Settings → Data. Inspect and redact them before sharing; Debug mode can include model requests and Agent turn details.
