App palette: Cmd/Ctrl + K

The app-level palette opens with Cmd/Ctrl + K. In Kition 0.1.41 it contains two navigation actions: return to the workspace and open General settings.

It is not the comprehensive editor command catalog described by older documentation, and it does not search files, settings fields, exports, Agent tasks, or user-defined shell commands.

Document command palette: Cmd/Ctrl + P

Focus an open Markdown document and press Cmd/Ctrl + P to open the document command palette. It fuzzy-filters commands that operate on the current CodeMirror editor.

  • Format text, headings, lists, tables, links, tags, frontmatter, and callouts
  • Insert Markdown structures and run document cleanup or lint helpers
  • Open context-specific tools such as templates, snippets, daily notes, document statistics, and Agent actions when available
  • Commands that need a selection or cursor context act on the current document rather than the whole workspace

Navigation shortcuts in a document

  • Cmd/Ctrl + O — Quick Open workspace documents
  • Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + F — global document search
  • Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + H — jump to a heading
  • Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + B — jump to a block
  • Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + T — open today’s daily note
  • Escape — close the active dialog or simplify the editor selection depending on focus

No public custom-command registry

Kition 0.1.41 does not ship the older Settings → Commands workflow or the documented JSON format for registering shell, URL, or Agent commands. Do not add custom-command JSON based on an old guide.
