Built-in provider presets

Kition 0.1.41 includes dedicated presets for DeepSeek and Kimi in addition to OpenAI, Anthropic, Kition Cloud, and Custom. The preset supplies the connection defaults; your provider account still determines which models and regions are available.

Connect a preset

  • Open Settings → AI Providers
  • Select DeepSeek or Kimi
  • Paste the API key issued by that provider
  • Choose Sync now to fetch the account’s current model catalog and activate the provider
  • Choose a returned text model in the Agent model picker

Do not maintain model IDs by hand

Kition stores the model identifiers returned by the provider’s models endpoint. Use that catalog instead of copying a static model table from a guide, because aliases, availability, and account access can change without a Kition release.

The first returned entry may not be the model you want. Review the selected model before the first Agent task.

Other providers

Use the Custom preset for another hosted service, local model server, or company gateway only when it implements responses or anthropic_messages and a compatible model-list endpoint.

Kition 0.1.41 does not provide separately verified presets for Qwen, GLM, Doubao, OpenRouter, Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM, or other services. Their names alone do not establish compatibility; confirm the exact endpoint, wire, authentication, and streaming behavior with the operator.

Privacy and billing

  • Bring-your-own-provider requests are governed and billed by that provider or gateway
  • Prompts and selected context leave the device for the endpoint you configure
  • Provider credentials are local plaintext files outside the workspace in Kition 0.1.41
  • Use provider-side limits and a disposable test workspace before enabling automation
