Basic syntax
A callout starts as a Markdown blockquote whose first line contains [!TYPE]. The type comparison is case-insensitive. When the type is recognized, live preview adds a color, icon, and title treatment.
> [!NOTE] Optional title
> This block is rendered as a callout.
> Continue each body line with `>`.Supported types and aliases
note,infotip,hint,importantsuccess,check,donequestion,help,faqwarning,caution,attentionfailure,fail,missingdanger,error,bugexample,quote,cite,abstract,summary,tldr,todo
Insert from the editor
Use the toolbar Callout action for a note callout, or type / and choose a note, info, warning, tip, success, or danger callout. The document command palette contains additional callout formatting commands.
Fold markers are source text in 0.1.41
The command palette can toggle + and - characters after the callout marker, but the verified live-preview renderer does not expose the old documented click-to-collapse interaction. Do not depend on > [!TIP]- as an interactive disclosure control in this release.
Unknown callout types remain ordinary blockquote source instead of receiving a supported callout style.
