A document is a .md file. Your vault directory *is* the project root. Open it in any text editor and you can read everything. Kition does not hide an encrypted database as "the real source of truth."

The base flow needs no signup, no email, and no network. You can do most of your work fully offline (except actual calls to your AI provider).

Don’t like Kition? Copy your vault folder elsewhere — all Markdown documents stay readable; tables export as CSV. We respect your right to walk away.
