# AI Docs for writing, editing, and translation

Write Markdown documents, ask an AI agent to revise the actual source, review the diff, and translate selected text in Kition.

AI Docs combines an editable document with an assistant that can work on its contents. In Kition the saved source is Markdown, so writing, review, linked project evidence, and export can stay in one workspace. Use it for a research report, project brief, meeting follow-up, or a document that needs several rounds of editing.

## Write with the source in view

Draft headings, lists, links, tables, callouts, math, and diagrams with live preview. Keep source documents and project records nearby. A useful brief states the audience, outcome, facts to preserve, and evidence the Agent should use.

## Review AI edits in the document

Ask for a bounded edit such as tightening an introduction or reorganizing a section. Read the proposed additions and deletions before accepting them. Compare names, numbers, and citations with the source; fluent wording does not establish factual accuracy.

## Translate selected text

Kition 0.1.49 adds inline translation using the selected Agent model. Select a passage and open translation from the context menu, command palette, or Cmd/Ctrl+Alt+T. Replace the selection, insert the result below, copy it, or retry. Set a default target language in Settings or the translation menu.

## Keep editable sources when exporting

Use the document export guide for PDF and DOCX delivery. Inspect the exported file, especially tables, diagrams, and page breaks. Keep the Markdown file and referenced images for revisions. Kition is a Markdown workspace; do not assume round-trip fidelity for every Microsoft Word feature.

## Start with one real task

1. Create or open a Markdown document with the project sources.
2. Tell the Agent which section to edit and which facts to preserve.
3. Review the diff and accept the useful changes.
4. Translate a selected passage if needed, then inspect the final export.

## Version and service requirements

New capabilities are verified against the public 0.1.49 release. AI tasks need a configured model service; image generation and design proposals also depend on service or runtime capabilities. The desktop workspace is free; connected model usage can incur charges.
